Collaborative Divorce Coaching & Child Specialist

Collaborative Divorce is a non-adversarial approach to divorce. Each parent has an Attorney and a Divorce Coach. The children meet with a Child Specialist. Dr. Drutman  regularly serves as Collaborative Divorces Coach and Child Specialist.

  • Work with the parents so they do not make poor, emotionally driven decisions
  • Assist the parents in creating a custom fit Parenting Plan that meets the unique needs of the particular family
  • Integrates feedback from the Child Specialist into the crafting of the Parenting Plan
  • Educates the parents about child development, post-divorce co-parenting, and conflict resolution

The Collaborative Divorce Child Specialist

  • Meets with the parents to learn about the children
  • Meets with the children to understand their understanding and reaction to their parents’ pending divorce
  • Serves as a voice for the children
